Peace & Conflict: Islamic Perspectives
Our pioneering work on the Islamic Perspectives on Peace and Conflict Studies has integrated carefully our knowledge and experience from both the field of peace and conflict studies, and their application to Islamic sources. We do not claim to be religious scholars, nor do we attempt to be. However, we apply methodical and scientific approaches grounded in social sciences in order to examine critically and constructively elements of peace and conflict resolution in Islamic sources that are relevant to the lives of Muslims today.
Our practical and interactive approaches to education and training have gained us worldwide reputation for creative innovation that is grounded in deep faith and aspiration to advance peace for all humanity and our mother Earth. Our publications span academic scholarly works and hands-on practical training manuals that have already touched the lives of many.
Peace & Conflict: Islamic Perspectives Courses
For more than 20 years, our In Peace, Amr team, including former associates such as Patty Anton, Dr. Fatima Mirza and Louai el Haffar, initiated the design of courses in Peace and Conflict Studies with Islamic Perspectives under the auspices of the Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences (GSISS). The courses include grounded knowledge and practice from the Peace and Conflict field, with methodical approaches to relevant information in Islamic sources. This course has provided the academic and scholarly underpinnings for our work through training workshops in communities worldwide. It also provided the depth of knowledge that we rely on when conducting training of trainers workshops.

Peace & Conflict: Islamic Perspectives Training Workshop

Based in the teaching and training manual Say Peace: Islamic Perspectives on Peace and Conflict Resolution, the workshop provides participants with universal and foundational understanding of conflict and peace dynamics using materials from the flagship manual C.R. SIPPABIO. At the same time, the workshop materials introduce participants to insights based in Islamic sources of knowledge, using social sciences methodologies of interpretation.
